PRIMARY PURPOSE

Team members in this role will be expected to contribute to maintaining a high quality work environment at N.E.W. Plastics Corp. This position supports the Food Safety and Quality Management Systems by following the work rules outlined in the Team member Handbook, working cooperatively and effectively with others in the organization, sharing information to enable others to do their jobs, and displaying good customer service to our internal and external customers consistent with our values. Hours can be somewhat flexible, but looking for 8 hours every day Monday through Friday. Provide clean and sanitary environment maintaining compliance with Safe Quality Foods (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Scope includes facilities, offices, restrooms, cleaning and maintenance in our blow molding operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cleaning and sanitizing Restrooms Facilities Record Keeping - Complete required records of scheduled cleaning and maintenance Maintain orderliness of cleaning storage and staging areas Requisition and replenish cleaning chemicals, apparatus, and equipment Assure compliance with chemical storage and container use Bring to the forefront ideas for prevention of causes of unsanitary conditions and ideas for improvement of ease and speed of cleaning processes and systems. Participate on teams and group discussions as required. Complete duties in an acceptable and timely manner. Improve knowledge and skills by attending internal or external training as required. Comply with attendance and break schedules as hours of work and start time may vary. Report needed repairs or maintenance when identified via the scope of cleaning. Coordinate and work with outsourced cleaning services. Decision Making Determine criticalness and urgency of identified repairs or maintenance and issue maintenance request. Present ideas that help prevent causes of unsanitary conditions or improve ease and speed of cleaning. Prioritization of various tasks assigned. Identifying optimum use of tools and cleaning solutions; and following cleaning solution instructions and compatibilities.

Qualification/Requirements:

Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks. Ability to speak clearly and concisely, in a friendly and professional manner, in person and over the telephone and paging system. Ability to read and prepare routine reports and interpret various documents and correspondence. Ability to apply concepts such as basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, picture, oral, diagram or schedule format.
