They also need to have a great set of people and communication skills to deal with the wide variety of staff on a regular basis.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position supports the transportation division with initial driver training, driver compliance, evaluation of driver skills, division's safety efforts, and ongoing quality and safety initiatives. This position is responsible for staying abreast of CDL requirements and changes which may affect any and all driver's ability to perform the essential functions. This position must uphold the highest level of safety compliance and policy compliance for the division and shall adjust training materials and efforts accordingly. This position may also be required to drive a school bus in support of the transportation division's mission of student transportation. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent One to two years of additional formal education is preferred with 2 years of driver safety in a student transportation organization preferred. Ability to understand scheduling software, routing software, and utilizing mapping software. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must be 21 years of age. Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License Class BCD with Passenger and Student endorsements and air brake restriction are required. Must successfully pass the pre-employment Department of Transportation fitness for duty; drug, alcohol testing, physical examination and background check including review of driving record. Must have a commendable driving record. If not held at the time of hire, must attain US DOT Drug & Alcohol Reasonable Suspicion training certificate. Training will be provided if other requirements are met.
