This is a fast-paced, hands-on field position requiring deep technical expertise in complex building systems, strong multidisciplinary coordination, and proactive problem-solving across large-scale capital infrastructure. Reporting directly to the NT1 Terminal Project Manager, you will lead and oversee the comprehensive commissioning and activation process for New Terminal 1. Your primary focus centers on coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPFP) systems alongside specialized airport operational systems—including Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB), PC Air, 400Hz ground power, and potable water. Working in close partnership with the Authority's Commissioning Agent, Design-Build contractors, and inspection teams, you will drive schedule adherence, resolve technical and logistical challenges, and ensure seamless system turnover and airport operational readiness.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Familiarity with scope and schedule for all projects within the AM's area of responsibility. Oversee the overall commissioning process with the Authority's Commissioning Agent and Design-Builder's Commissioning Manager. Coordinate activation of New Terminal Baggage Handling System (BHS) and Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB) and related aircraft services (PC Air, 400Hz, Potable Water). Collaborate with Design-Build contractors and field inspectors to resolve complex technical, logistical, and scheduling issues. Work closely with various stakeholders (airport operations, maintenance personnel, 3rd-party vendors) to ensure the project stays on track and within budget. Take ownership of issues and proactively seek solutions, escalating issues to the Project Manager (PM) and Program Manager (PGM) when necessary. Understand project documents, including the Validated Project Definition Document, Owner Design and Construction Standards, Project Performance Specifications, and related plans/specifications issued by the Design-Build Team. In conjunction with Subject Matter Experts and Inspectors, identify scope elements that are not within standards and alert the Project Manager. Proactively identify logistics, quality, scope, and other issues that may impede timely completion of the fieldwork in the respective area. Participate in Change Management for elements related to the AM's area. Provide recommendations to the Project Manager related to the merit of requested changes and follow up with necessary change management documentation. Evaluate project schedules for the AM's area. Provide recommendations to the Project Manager related to schedule and the validity of potential schedules, while staying knowledgeable about ongoing progress. Attend weekly project meetings run by individual Project Managers or Inspectors throughout the program. Meet regularly with stakeholders (Operations, Tenants, etc.) to inform them of upcoming work and gather input on potential impacts. Act as the responsible party to ensure that all construction is in accordance with plans and specifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or equivalent experience. Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction of complex building or large infrastructure projects. Proficiency with engineering/architectural building systems and coordination among those systems. Demonstrable experience in field construction observation of building systems. Previous experience at a minimum of one operating airport. Ability to work under pressure on high-profile, complicated assignments. Must pass drug and alcohol screening, and driving record and background check. A valid Class C driver's license and the ability to maintain eligibility under the Authority's Authorized Drivers Program. Night and weekend work will be required.
