Security Consulting Group, Inc. (SCG) is currently hiring a dependable, professional, and customer-service-oriented Unarmed Security Officer for a school campus located in Pasadena, California . This is a daytime security position with a morning start and afternoon end time. We are looking for an officer who is reliable, attentive, professional, and comfortable working in an educational environment around students, parents, teachers, administrators, and visitors. Pay $18.57 - $19.00 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications. Duties may include:

Maintain a visible and professional security presence on the school campus Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and designated access points Assist with access control and visitor monitoring Conduct regular foot patrols throughout assigned areas Monitor activity during student arrival and dismissal periods Observe and report suspicious, unsafe, or unauthorized activity Respond appropriately to incidents, disturbances, and safety concerns Assist school administrators and staff with security-related matters Help enforce site rules and security procedures in a professional manner Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports when required Immediately report significant incidents or safety concerns to SCG Dispatch and appropriate school personnel Follow all site-specific post orders and company policies Maintain communication with SCG Dispatch and supervisors Provide professional and courteous assistance to students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors Maintain a calm and professional demeanor during difficult or stressful situations Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet the following requirements: Valid California BSIS Guard Card Must be at least 18 years of age Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Reliable transportation to and from the Pasadena work location Dependable and punctual Professional appearance and attitude Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to write clear and accurate security reports Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods during the shift Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift Ability to interact professionally with students, parents, staff, administrators, and visitors Ability to remain calm and use good judgment during stressful situations Must be able to comply with company and client screening requirements Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are preferred but not necessarily required: Previous security officer experience Previous school, campus, educational, or similar security experience Experience working in a customer-service environment Experience with access control and visitor management Experience conducting foot patrols Experience completing security incident and activity reports Strong communication and de-escalation skills Experience working around children, families, faculty, or the general public What We Are Looking For School security requires more than simply maintaining a security presence. We are looking for an officer who understands the importance of professionalism, patience, awareness, communication, and good judgment . The selected officer should be approachable and respectful while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and enforcing established security procedures. Reliability and attendance are extremely important for this assignment. Because the position supports the daily operation of a school, the officer must consistently arrive on time, in proper uniform, and ready to begin work at the scheduled start of the shift. Candidates should understand that they will regularly interact with students, parents, school staff, administrators, visitors, and other members of the public.
