Position Overview American Universal Security is seeking responsible, alert, dependable, and professional Security Guards to join our team in Chino Hills, CA. Security Guards are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by providing a visible security presence, monitoring assigned properties, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, controlling access, and assisting clients, employees, visitors, and emergency responders when necessary. The ideal candidate is observant, reliable, professional, and able to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations. Key Responsibilities Maintain a visible and professional security presence to help ensure the safety of clients, employees, visitors, and property. Conduct regular patrols and inspections to identify suspicious activity, safety concerns, or security risks. Monitor assigned areas and respond appropriately to alarms, disturbances, and security incidents. Document and report all security-related incidents accurately and promptly. Perform access control and verify that only authorized individuals are permitted to enter restricted areas. Conduct routine checks of buildings, gates, doors, equipment, and other designated areas to ensure they remain secure. Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation. Cooperate professionally with local law enforcement, fire departments, medical personnel, and other emergency responders when necessary. Assist during emergency situations by following established safety procedures and providing clear instructions to individuals on-site. Provide professional and courteous customer service to clients, employees, and visitors. Address security-related questions and concerns in a calm, respectful, and professional manner. Follow all company policies, post orders, security procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. Perform other security-related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Previous security experience preferred; relevant military, law enforcement, or public safety experience is a plus. Valid California Guard Card required. California Exposed Firearm Permit required for armed positions. Strong observation skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to remain calm, professional, and composed during high-pressure situations. Ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team. Ability to understand and follow security procedures, post orders, and company protocols. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays . Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and perform assigned security duties for extended periods.
