- Luxury Residential CondominiumOverview We are seeking a professional, dependable, and service-oriented Security Gatehouse Attendant to join the security team at a luxury residential condominium.
The Gatehouse Attendant serves as one of the first points of contact for residents, guests, vendors, contractors, and service providers and plays an important role in maintaining a secure, welcoming, and well-managed residential environment. The ideal candidate combines strong security awareness with exceptional customer service, professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. Responsibilities include monitoring and controlling property access, verifying visitors and vendors, observing security systems, documenting incidents, communicating with residents and property staff, and responding appropriately to emergencies or unusual activity. This position requires a calm and courteous demeanor, sound judgment, and the ability to enforce condominium security procedures while providing the high level of service expected in a luxury residential community. Duties and Responsibilities Monitor and control vehicle and pedestrian access to the condominium property in accordance with established security procedures. Greet residents, guests, vendors, contractors, delivery personnel, and service providers in a courteous and professional manner. Verify visitor authorization and confirm guest access with residents when required. Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, contractor, and vehicle access logs. Issue temporary access credentials, parking passes, or other property-authorized permits when applicable. Monitor CCTV cameras, gate systems, intercoms, access control equipment, and other security systems for suspicious or unusual activity. Maintain awareness of activity at entrances, exits, driveways, parking areas, and surrounding property. Communicate promptly with management, security personnel, concierge/front desk staff, maintenance personnel, or residents regarding security concerns or access issues. Enforce condominium rules, parking regulations, access procedures, and property security policies professionally and consistently. Assist with managing deliveries, contractors, moving companies, service providers, and other scheduled property activity according to condominium procedures. Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies, alarms, disturbances, accidents, medical incidents, fire-related events, or suspicious activity. Contact emergency services or law enforcement when appropriate and assist responding personnel with property access and relevant information. Prepare clear, accurate, and detailed incident reports, shift logs, and other required security documentation. Report damaged gates, lighting, cameras, access systems, doors, fencing, or other security-related equipment to management. Use professional conflict de-escalation techniques when addressing unauthorized persons, access disputes, or violations of property policies. Protect resident privacy and maintain strict confidentiality regarding residents, guests, property operations, and security procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional gatehouse throughout the assigned shift. Provide residents and guests with appropriate directions or general property information while remaining attentive to security responsibilities. Perform additional security and resident-service duties as assigned by property management or the Security Supervisor. Qualifications and Experience Previous experience in residential security, condominium security, gated communities, hospitality security, concierge services, private security, military service, or law enforcement is preferred. Experience working in a luxury residential, hospitality, or customer-service environment is highly desirable. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally with residents, guests, vendors, and coworkers. Ability to remain alert, observant, calm, and professional throughout the assigned shift. Familiarity with CCTV surveillance systems, electronic gate systems, intercoms, visitor management systems, and access control technology is preferred. Ability to follow established security procedures and exercise sound judgment when handling unusual or emergency situations. Strong written communication skills and the ability to prepare accurate incident reports and security logs. Ability to respectfully enforce rules and procedures while maintaining a hospitality-focused approach. Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or potential safety concerns. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when interacting with residents and handling sensitive information. Basic computer and communication-system proficiency. First Aid, CPR, and AED certification is preferred or may be required depending on property policy. Ability to stand, sit, walk, and perform routine security-related duties for extended periods as required by the position. Must be reliable, punctual, well-groomed, and capable of maintaining a professional appearance consistent with a luxury residential environment.
