$11.18 per hour Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and professional Security Officer to join our team in Pelican, Louisiana. The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, visitors, and property. The ideal candidate will possess strong observation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond appropriately to security-related situations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or by vehicle to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor premises and observe for suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or security violations. Control access to the property by verifying credentials and authorizing entry. Complete detailed and accurate incident, accident, and activity reports. Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents in a timely manner. Maintain professional interactions with employees, visitors, and the public. Enforce site-specific rules, regulations, and company policies. Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, and security breaches to management. Perform other duties as assigned by site supervisors. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older . Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous security experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to pass all required background screenings and pre-employment requirements. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure. Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions when required. Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to conduct routine patrols and respond to emergencies as needed.
