Position Summary The Security Guard is responsible for monitoring company property, controlling facility access, conducting security patrols, and responding appropriately to emergencies and security concerns. This position plays a vital role in protecting company assets while providing exceptional customer service to employees and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor and patrol company buildings, grounds, and parking areas. Control access to the facility by verifying employee, visitor, and contractor credentials. Monitor security cameras, alarms, and other surveillance equipment. Conduct routine inspections of buildings and property to identify safety or security concerns. Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, alarms, and medical situations. Prepare detailed incident and daily activity reports. Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor. Assist with traffic control and parking during peak activity or special events. Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders when necessary. Report unsafe conditions, suspicious activity, or security breaches immediately. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous security, military, law enforcement, or industrial experience preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations. Strong communication and customer service skills. Basic computer skills for report writing and security systems. Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Physical Requirements Walk and stand for extended periods. Patrol indoor and outdoor areas in various weather conditions. Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Climb stairs and perform routine inspections throughout the facility.
