Jobs › New Bedford, MA › Outpatient Security High Point Treatment Center Outpatient Security New Bedford, MA Apply Security Requirements Provide support to all staff as needed to ensure a safe environment is maintained. Responsible for safety and security communications to supervisor(s). Excellent interpersonal communication skills while able to maintain professional boundaries. Maintain mental alertness and attention to high detail. Maintain a neat and professional appearance and provide excellent customer service as needed. Follow established security protocols while using initiative and good judgement without bias. Security Duties and Responsibilities Maintain the security and safety of all staff and clients. Patrol the campus and maintain security of buildings and grounds. Interact with staff and clients in a professional manner at all times. Creates and maintains a working relationship with the local police and fire rescue departments as needed. Assist in development and implementation of action plans to provide safe environment and immediate response to imminent threats of violence, criminal incidents, emergency medical incidents, auto accidents, and others. Assist law enforcement officers as directed by administration. Direct traffic and parking on campus; check vehicles for proper parking authorization; determine if vehicles are parked in restricted areas. Maintain proper paperwork/reports to ensure all complaints filed with law enforcement have been signed off by program administration or their designated representative. Ensure doors/gates are locked and opened at designated times determined by program administration. Assists, directs and monitors all persons entering and leaving the clinic property. Monitors parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area, and do frequent sweeps of the entire building. Directs emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintains flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills. Knowledgeable of all emergency codes and appropriate responses. Report any suspicious behavior to the Program Director and/or supervisors. Complete reporting logs and/or incident reports as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Security Qualifications High School Diploma or GED, preferred Experience may be considered an place of a related degree Bilingual in Spanish and/or Cape Verdean Creole, preferred Working Conditions/Occupational Exposure This position would require one to work outdoors in inclement weather. Ability to manage emotional reactivity in highly stressful situations. The security position is a part-time position between 24-32 hours per week with the possibility of extending to a 40 hour position with additional administrative tasks. Physical Requirements This position will require standing for long periods of time, with frequent walking around and within the building.
