DUTIES:

Responsible for implementing conflict resolution and violence prevention strategies to ensure the safety and security of staff and students at the Senior High School. Assist students in accessing the appropriate support person in the building depending on their individual need. Responsible for securing established security layers and filters of the building daily, including entry and exit points and visitor protocols. Advise administration with ideas for scheduling and placement of Youth Assistant and security team members throughout the day. Provide input to administration on methods to improve and maximize job performance of the Youth Assistant and security team. Liaise with Director of Athletics to provide security supervisors for evening events. (Full-Time, 10-Month Position) This is a provisional Civil Service appointment.

SALARY:

$26.00 - $33.79 per hour, based on experience plus full-time benefits per the Rush-Henrietta Employees' Association, Coalition Unit, Paraprofessional Chapter. Review the Total Rewards of this position in the full contract at: www.rhnet.org/contracts

QUALIFICATIONS

Must currently hold the Civil Service title of School Sentry I OR have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of full-time experience as a security guard. Must have current registration as a Security Guard with NYS. Must take the next Civil Service exam for School Sentry I and be reachable for appointment from the resulting list.
