Armed OPOTA-Certified School Security Officer Armed Security Officer -

Jefferson, OH Employment Type:

Full-time, school-year position

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-4:00

PM Pay:

$19.36 per hour

Time Off:

Summers off

Required Certification:

Valid Ohio OPOTA Armed Certification Main Responsibilities Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle Monitor for and report suspicious activity Respond to incidents according to policies and use-of-force guidelines Complete incident reports and daily activity reports (DARs) Enforce site and client policies Provide customer service and access-control support Follow site-specific emergency procedures Required Qualifications Current OPOTA Armed Certification Personal firearm, Level II or higher retention holster, and duty belt High school diploma or equivalent Reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Strong report-writing skills Preferred Qualifications 1-3 years of security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience Military background a plus Criminal justice or public safety education a plus OH #65198924219 #IND1
