Job Requirements WP Air Base, OH Top Secret/SCI Polygraph not specified Early Career (2+ yrs experience) Salary not specified Join Premium to unlock estimated salaries Job Description High Prairies Services is seeking a journeyman level Security Monitor to manage and facilitate all visitor access at the NASIC Facility, located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Duties include providing access control and intrusion detection services to include servicing access requests, enforcing access rules and regulations through telephone and written requests. Attending formal and on the job training for security systems as needed. Monitoring access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems for alarms and alerts. Alarm testing and reporting procedures will be followed as prescribed by the Security office. Maintaining a station duty log and calling in subject matter experts and points of contact when required. Working as a team to provide security services with no interruption.
Perform all duties of an Alarm Monitor.
Maintain daily duty log.
Conduct and record various checks and verifications.
Report suspicious activities and persons.
Operate Intrusion Detection system, fire alarm system, radio transmitter and receiver, and telephones: Receives incoming fire calls by telephone or through alarm system.
Determines type and number of units to respond to alarms and/or emergencies.
Relays messages from emergency scene, such as requests for additional help and medical assistance.
Records date, time, type of call and destination of messages received or transmitted.
Maintains activity, code, and locator files.
Respond to all incoming alarm signals in our automation software according to documented procedures. When deemed appropriate, calls the premise, notifies the authorities, and calls a list of contacts. Logs all information into the automation system immediately and accurately.
Answer the multi-line telephone system.
Ensure confidentiality of customer information at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS
This is a full-time position with shift work required.
The specifics of the shift expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
TRAVEL:
Position does not anticipate regular travel.
CLEARANCE
Active TS/SCI required at the time of application, currently not accepting candidates that would require clearance upgrade or sponsorship.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma required, some college preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Ability to perform duties with a high degree of urgency and accuracy.
Type 30 + words a minute; Candidates must complete a pre-hire assessment for typing.
Must be able to prioritize and multi task.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Good interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
A positive attitude of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Those selected will complete a paid training class and must pass a final exam certifying their skill as an Alarm Monitoring Operator.
