This assignment requires an officer who takes pride in their work, understands the responsibility of representing JSSC, and can consistently meet the professional standards expected by both JSSC and our client.

Contingent upon contract award Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is punctual, reliable, professional, alert, and accountable . As the security officer assigned to the client's checkpoint, you will be representing both JSSC and our client. The right candidate understands that security work requires more than simply being present—it requires good judgment, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to follow established procedures consistently.

Maintain a professional, visible, and alert security presence. Monitor and control access to the property in accordance with client procedures. Verify individuals, vehicles, credentials, or other access requirements as directed. Monitor and observe activity around the checkpoint. Identify and promptly report suspicious activity, safety concerns, security incidents, or emergencies. Maintain accurate activity logs, reports, and required documentation. Follow all JSSC policies, client requirements, post orders, SOPs, and applicable laws and regulations. Communicate professionally with client personnel, employees, visitors, and fellow security personnel. Contact law enforcement or emergency services when appropriate and in accordance with established procedures. Maintain the security of all client-issued equipment. Schedule & Availability The regular assignment is: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Additional coverage may occasionally be required for holidays, weekends, or hours outside the regularly scheduled shift . When additional coverage is needed, JSSC will communicate the requirement in advance. The client will endeavor to provide a minimum of two (2) hours' notice if security services are not required for a scheduled shift, such as in the event of a building closure due to inclement weather. Candidates should understand that reliable attendance and schedule adherence are essential requirements of this position. Required Screening Before being permitted to work on the client property, the selected primary officer and designated backup officer must successfully complete all required screening and onboarding requirements, including: Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) background check Drug screening Valid Tennessee Armed Security License Any required training, certifications, or client-specific onboarding Any additional screening or qualifications required by the client Employment and assignment to this location are contingent upon successfully meeting all required qualifications and screening requirements. Cell Phone & Radio Requirements Personal cell phone usage is prohibited during scheduled duty hours , except in an emergency or when otherwise authorized by JSSC/client policy. At the beginning of each shift, the client will issue the security officer a radio for check-in and communication purposes . The radio is client property and must be returned at the end of each shift . Parking Complimentary parking will be provided by the client for the assigned security officer during scheduled duty hours. Requirements Valid Tennessee Armed Security License Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the assignment At least 1 year of relevant security experience preferred Strong oral and written communication skills Strong and reliable work history Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking) Ability to pass a TBI background check Ability to pass a drug screening Legal authorization to work in the United States Professional appearance and demeanor Familiarity with standard security procedures and equipment Reliable transportation Ability to consistently work the assigned Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM schedule Preferred Qualifications Military, law enforcement, corrections, or previous armed security experience Experience with security reporting, SOPs, or post orders Experience working at checkpoints or access-control locations Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply Prior experience working in a client-facing security role Leadership or supervisory experience
