Job Description

The Surveillance Agent supports a safe, secure, and enjoyable gaming environment for guests and team members through continuous monitoring of casino operations via closed-circuit television (CCTV) and other surveillance systems. This role applies proactive risk management practices to identify, document, and report internal and external threats, ensuring the protection of the casino, its assets, and its ownership. The Surveillance Agent operates with the highest level of confidentiality, integrity, and regulatory compliance. Required Qualifications Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Minimum of six (6) months of experience in the gaming industry, security, investigative work, or video surveillance systems are preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license. Computer literate with the ability to use surveillance systems and standard office software. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to understand and apply Tribal, federal, and state gaming laws, regulations, and internal controls. Demonstrated visual acuity and hearing sufficient to perform surveillance duties effectively. Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required by operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitors casino gaming activities, including table games and slot operations, to ensure compliance with departmental policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations. Demonstrates working knowledge of casino table games, including but not limited to Blackjack, Craps, Pai Gow, Mini Baccarat, Three-Card Poker, and Four-Card Poker, including recognition of cheating methods such as card counting. Successfully completes required proficiency testing with a minimum score of eighty-five percent (85%), as applicable. Observes and monitors all cash-handling operations, including cashier cages, main bank, jackpot room, and chip room. Detects, documents, and immediately reports any suspected cheating, theft, fraud, or policy violations by guests or team members to Surveillance Leadership. Safeguards all confidential and sensitive information and maintains strict confidentiality regarding surveillance operations and casino activities. Develops and maintains proficiency in the operation of surveillance equipment, including video monitoring consoles, recording systems, camera locations, and video retention procedures. Inspect surveillance recording equipment to ensure proper operation and functionality. Reviews shift activity logs to maintain awareness of ongoing investigations and observations. Prepares accurate, factual, and legible written reports documenting surveillance observations and incidents. Demonstrates the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-security environment. Develops and maintains working knowledge of applicable National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS). Follows instructions, responds appropriately to management direction, and completes assigned tasks in a timely manner or communicates alternative plans when necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned to meet operational and business needs.
