Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Why does the job exist? This position will provide daily monitoring of inmate telephone calls in order to Identify Security Threat and Gang Activity and to prevent introduction of contraband, disturbances, security breaches and violations of rules. How does it get done?

  • Provide daily monitoring inmate telephone calls.
  • Review inmate mail.
  • Complete administrative duties. Who are the customers? New Mexico Corrections Department (NMCD) Additional Information

  • Previous experience in a prison setting.
  • Report writing skills
  • Computer experience Minimum Qualification No prior experience or training required.

Employment Requirements This position is designed safety sensitive. Employment is subject to pre-employment and random testing in accordance with all terms and conditions of Federal and State law, rules and regulations in relation to alcohol and/or drug testing. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Pre-employment background check is required and conditional pending results. Working Conditions Work is performed in an adult prison environment, which includes daily contact with inmates.
