Recovery Court Surveillance Officer

Job Description

The Rappahannock Regional Jail is seeking a Part-Time Recovery Court Surveillance Officer. Duties include, but are not limited to: Monitors and tests individuals for compliance to Recovery Court requirements, and related work as apparent or assigned. Covered under EEOC section CM-625, Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications, this announcement is for a male Recovery Court Surveillance Officer.
Essential Functions:
Interviews program participants. Collects urine specimens and breath samples. Checks and analyzes specimens for the presence of illegal or mood-altering substances. Prepares and enters data and documentation of information collected. Coordinates monitoring services and dissemination of data with appropriate staff and agencies. Monitors area court records for subsequent participant offenses. Participates in Recovery Court team meetings. Performs related duties as assigned. Education /
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED and some experience in protective services work. Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Applicant must pass a criminal background, Drug Test, DMV check and polygraph examination. The Rappahannock Regional Jail (RRJ) is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
