Position Overview
Airworx Aviation is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to oversee the final inspection of machined engine components and monitor engine test runs. This role is critical in ensuring that all work meets FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and our internal quality standards before release to service.
Key Responsibilities
Perform final inspection of machined aircraft engine components
Verify parts meet dimensional tolerances and specifications
Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, service bulletins, and manufacturer data
Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
Oversee and document engine test runs
Identify and report discrepancies or non-conforming parts
Work closely with machinists and technicians to maintain quality standards
Assist in continuous improvement of QA processes and procedures
Qualifications
Experience in aviation maintenance, machining, or quality assurance preferred
Strong understanding of precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
Familiarity with FAA regulations and documentation practices (preferred)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Requirements
Preferred Experience
A&P License
Experience with aircraft engine overhauls (Lycoming, Continental, etc.)
Background in machining or engine testing
