The instructor will provide engaging classroom and laboratory instruction in aviation maintenance fundamentals, aircraft systems, maintenance practices, safety procedures, tools and equipment, and related technical skills. The instructor will create an instructional environment that reflects current aviation industry practices and emphasizes safety, professionalism, problem-solving, precision, teamwork, and employability skills. The successful candidate will establish strong relationships with aviation businesses, maintenance organizations, postsecondary institutions, and industry professionals to ensure the program remains aligned with workforce needs and emerging aviation technologies.

The successful candidate should demonstrate:

Strong technical knowledge of aviation maintenance. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into age-appropriate instruction. Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude. Ability to safely operate and teach students to use aviation tools and equipment. Knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance practices, and technical documentation. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, schematics, and maintenance documentation. Strong classroom and laboratory management skills. Ability to establish positive relationships with high school students. Commitment to career and technical education and student career readiness. Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, parents, sending schools, and industry partners. Commitment to continuous professional growth and maintaining current industry knowledge.

Pay:

$25,683.00 - $29,542.00 per year
