Job Description

Kubick Aviation Services is looking for a dependable, safety-minded Line Service Technician to join our team. Kubick Aviation is a locally grown aviation services company and the region's recognized leader in aircraft service, maintenance, and management. Our team brings more than 150 years of combined aviation experience and works together to provide safe, professional, and reliable service to our customers. No previous aviation or line service experience is required. We are looking for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, comfortable working independently, and committed to providing excellent customer service. We will provide on-the-job training to the right candidate. What You'll Do As a Line Service Technician, you will support the safe and efficient arrival, departure, and servicing of aircraft while assisting pilots, passengers, and other Kubick Aviation departments.
Responsibilities include:
Fuel aircraft in accordance with ATA Specification 103 and aviation fuel quality-control standards Tow, marshal, chock, secure, and reposition aircraft Assist pilots with pre-flight and post-flight services Operate fuel trucks, aircraft tugs, and other ground support equipment Assist passengers, pilots, and flight crews while providing professional customer service Direct vehicles, passengers, and flight crews safely within ramp areas Provide basic security for aircraft, facilities, customers, and company property Provide front desk coverage and respond to calls and customer inquiries as needed Answer the Line Service phone during and after regular business hours as scheduled Assist other departments, including Charter, Aircraft Maintenance, and Facilities Perform general facility, vehicle, and aircraft cleaning as needed Follow established safety procedures, emergency protocols, and company policies Participate in required training to maintain skills, qualifications, and knowledge Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and able to adapt to a work environment where priorities can change quickly.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Valid driver's license Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established procedures Good judgment and the ability to make safe, efficient decisions Ability to work independently without direct supervision Ability to maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, customers, pilots, and flight crews Willingness to learn aviation procedures and complete required training Ability to work outdoors during the day or night and in varying weather conditions Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, holidays, overtime, and rotating on-call shifts Must live within 30 minutes of the work location to accommodate on-call responsibilities Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position.
Employees must be able to:
Regularly stand and walk for extended periods Step on and off ladders, aircraft tugs, and fuel trucks Bend, stoop, crouch, and work underneath aircraft wings Lift, carry, and position baggage, tow bars, and other equipment weighing up to 75 pounds Lift baggage from ground level to waist height and overhead when loading aircraft Safely operate equipment around aircraft, vehicles, buildings, coworkers, and customers Maintain adequate hand-eye coordination and peripheral vision to safely perform assigned duties Safety Is a Priority Line Service Technicians work around aircraft, moving vehicles, aviation fuels, and other potentially hazardous materials. The airport ramp is also a high-noise environment. Following established procedures and properly using required personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential parts of this position.
