Job Summary
A&P Mechanic - Hannibal, Missouri.
Survival Flight is accepting resumes for a full-time Aviation Mechanic (A&P).
As an Aviation Mechanic, youll play a vital role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of our aircraft by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an A&P-certified mechanic looking to grow their aviation career in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform scheduled, unscheduled, and preventative maintenance on company aircraft.
Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and replace aircraft components using approved maintenance manuals and technical data.
Ensure all maintenance is completed in compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company policies.
Accurately document all maintenance performed in accordance with FAA requirements.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Participate in an on-call rotation after completing training.
Travel for up to two weeks at a time as operational needs require.
Be available to work occasional weekends and overtime to support maintenance operations.
Work collaboratively with fellow maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft are returned to service safely and efficiently.
Support Survival Flights commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (Required)
Valid Drivers License
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training
Ability to travel for up to two weeks at a time as business needs require
Ability to work occasional weekends and overtime
Must be able to report to the Batesville maintenance facility within 60 minutes while participating in the on-call rotation
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) or more years of aviation maintenance experience
Experience with Bell 407 helicopters and/or Pilatus PC-12 aircraft
Previous experience working in a Part 145 Repair Station or Part 135 environment
Helicopter experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with an FAA A&P Certificate, strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
Ability to work on ladders, maintenance stands, and around aircraft in both hangar and outdoor environments.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment while following all company safety procedures.
