Job Description
Job Summary
If you're tired of being a number on a shift sheet, this isn't that job. We're a small GA piston shop where the owners know your name, your work matters, and customers respect you. What we offer is a place where good mechanics are treated like the skilled professionals they are.
Doing things safely, legally, and with integrity isn't a policy here — it's just how we operate. We don't cut corners, and we don't ask our mechanics to either.
Responsibilities:
Perform and sign off 100-hour inspections, work on annual inspections under IA supervision, and conduct unscheduled maintenance on GA piston aircraft
Diagnose and repair airframe and piston engine discrepancies
Apply and document applicable ADs and service bulletins
Complete accurate logbook entries and work orders per FAA regulations
Coordinate with the shop IA for inspection sign-offs and return to service
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Why our mechanics stay:
Ownership that puts people first — our owners make decisions based on what's right for the team, not just the bottom line. You'll feel that difference on your first day.
A shop culture worth showing up for — collaborative, low-drama, and built on mutual respect. We work hard and we look out for each other.
Your work is your own — no assembly-line maintenance, no anonymous sign-offs. You own your jobs start to finish, the way it should be.
Flexible scheduling — full time and part time positions available. Life happens; we get it.
Requirements
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate — required
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience on GA piston aircraft
Strong working knowledge of Lycoming and/or Continental piston engines
Experience performing 100-hour and annual inspections under IA supervision
Proficiency reading and working to POHs, maintenance manuals, IPC, and service bulletins
Ability to sign off maintenance entries per 14 CFR Part 43
Experience with common GA airframes — Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, Mooney, or similar
Able to work independently and manage time on billable jobs with minimal supervision
Valid driver's license; able to pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with engine overhaul or top overhaul on Lycoming or Continental engines
Sheet metal or fabric/composite repair experience
