Aircraft Mechanic - Duties and Responsibilities The Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for ensuring assigned aircraft are maintained in a safe, airworthy, reliable, and mission-ready condition.

Specific duties include:

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the helicopters in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, company procedures, and approved data. Perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, component replacements, and preventive maintenance. Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems and identify potential discrepancies before they affect aircraft safety or mission capability. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, avionics, and other aircraft systems as required. Perform aircraft servicing, lubrication, adjustments, rigging, and component removal and installation. Accurately complete maintenance records, logbook entries, inspection forms, work orders, and other required documentation. Ensure all maintenance is performed in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, approved maintenance data, manufacturer's instructions, and Company procedures. Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable Bell maintenance manuals, Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, and other technical publications. Assist with scheduled inspections, including 100-hour, annual, progressive, component, and other required inspections as applicable. Assist with aircraft modifications, installations, upgrades, and special mission equipment. Support aircraft preparation for executive transportation, VRLL, external-load, and other specialized missions. Ensure aircraft are properly configured, serviced, inspected, and ready for scheduled missions. Respond to aircraft maintenance issues and assist with field troubleshooting and repairs when operationally required. Maintain accurate inventory and accountability of aircraft parts, components, tools, and equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional maintenance environment. Coordinate with pilots and operations personnel regarding aircraft discrepancies, maintenance status, and upcoming mission requirements. Communicate maintenance findings and recommendations clearly to management and flight crews. Maintain a high level of awareness regarding aircraft condition, recurring discrepancies, and reliability trends. Participate in aircraft recovery, ferry, or field maintenance operations when required. Assist with maintaining company tooling, ground support equipment, and maintenance facilities. Comply with all company safety policies, FAA regulations, and applicable operational requirements. Fulfill other maintenance-related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Perform all work in a professional, cooperative, and team-oriented manner. Requirements

Required:

FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate. Experience maintaining turbine-powered helicopters. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical publications. Ability to work independently and make sound maintenance decisions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to aircraft safety. Ability to accurately document maintenance in accordance with FAA requirements. Valid driver's license. Ability to work flexible hours and support operational requirements when necessary.

Preferred:

Bell 407 maintenance experience. Airbus H-145 maintenance experience. Sikorsky

UH-60 / S-70

maintenance experience. Experience with Part 91 and/or Part 135 operations. Experience supporting external-load or VRLL operations. Experience with electrical and avionics troubleshooting. Experience with aircraft modifications and special-mission equipment. Experience performing field maintenance in remote environments. Previous experience as a lead mechanic or maintenance supervisor. Experience working in a high-utilization commercial helicopter operation. We are looking for more than someone who can simply turn wrenches.
