SHEET METAL MECHANIC
(AIRCRAFT), WG-3806-10 , you will inspect and troubleshoot aircraft structures such as fuselage, tail, wings, cowlings and stabilizers; repair cracks in aircraft skin; set up, opere and maintain power shears, metal brakes, rolls, dimpling machines, drills, saws, he-treing furnaces, hardness testers, arc and oxyacetalene welders and other metal working equipment and tools of the trade; paint, strip or stencil aircraft and/or components; assist in other functions within the Component Repair Shop; assist authorized firefighters in the performance of fire/crash/rescue duties; perform other duties as assigned. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.

Minimum Requirements:
Experience or training th has provided the candide with the ability to plan, manufacture, and install cylindrical, square, or rectangular-shaped objects th have easily constructed fastenings such as single and double-hem edges and single, double or grooved seams.
Specialized Experience:
Experience or training in planning, layout, and construction skills to manufacture items and systems with dovetailed seams, set-in-bottom seams, burred-bottom seams, or wired or lock seams. Experience using more compliced shop tools and equipment. Experience in using metals including stainless steel, copper sheet, magnesium, honeycomb merial and alloys. Experience demonstring the use of more compliced mhemical calculions and compliced measuring instruments.
