Job Description

  • Job Title: Aviation Technician (A&P Mechanic)
  • Job Description
  • This role focuses on performing a 10-year inspection on Embraer Praetor 500 aircraft, including comprehensive airframe, systems, and engine inspections. You will use your A&P expertise to ensure the aircraft is maintained to the highest safety and quality standards within a corporate aviation environment.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Perform detailed 10-year inspections on Embraer Praetor 500 aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations and maintenance manuals.

+ Conduct thorough airframe structural inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential issues and complete necessary repairs.

+ Inspect landing gear components, including associated systems, for proper function, wear, and structural integrity.

+ Perform flight controls inspections and rigging checks to ensure correct operation, alignment, and safety.

+ Inspect and evaluate fuel systems for leaks, contamination, proper routing, and overall system integrity.

+ Assess hydraulic systems for performance, leaks, and component condition, and carry out required maintenance or repairs.

+ Inspect engines and auxiliary power units (APU) for performance, condition, and compliance with maintenance requirements.

+ Execute corrosion prevention and control measures, including inspection, treatment, and documentation.

+ Perform heavy maintenance and heavy inspection tasks on jet aircraft as required by maintenance schedules.

+ Carry out annual inspections and other scheduled maintenance activities with attention to detail and safety.

+ Troubleshoot aircraft systems and components to diagnose issues and implement effective corrective actions.

+ Complete all maintenance documentation accurately, including inspection reports and work orders.

+ Work collaboratively with a small team of mechanics and contractors to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.

+ Follow all safety procedures, maintenance standards, and regulatory requirements during all phases of work.

+ Support continuous improvement of maintenance processes by communicating findings and suggesting enhancements.

  • Work Environment
  • This is a full-time role with a Monday through Friday schedule, working 40 hours per week on a day shift from 7:30 a.

m. to 4:00 p.m. You will work as part of a small crew, collaborating closely with two other contractors and a staff of approximately seven mechanics and leads. The environment is a corporate aircraft maintenance setting focused on jet aircraft, where you will use standard aviation tools, equipment, and documentation systems to perform inspections and heavy maintenance tasks in a hangar-based facility.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $40.

00 - $50.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
