Job Summary
A&P Mechanic - Commercial Line Maintenance
We are seeking experienced A&P Mechanics to support commercial line maintenance operations at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE). This position is responsible for performing aircraft troubleshooting, daily checks, transit inspections, turn checks, and corrective maintenance in a fast-paced airline maintenance environment. Work Schedule
Full-Time
On-site position at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE)
Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
On-call availability may be required to support operational demands
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on commercial aircraft in a line maintenance environment
Conduct daily checks, transit inspections, service checks, and turn checks
Troubleshoot and diagnose aircraft mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and avionics system discrepancies
Perform repairs, component replacements, and corrective maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance data
Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, engineering orders, wiring diagrams, and technical publications
Complete operational and functional checks following maintenance activities
Ensure all maintenance is performed in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and customer requirements
Accurately complete maintenance records, logbook entries, and required documentation
Coordinate with Maintenance Control, flight crews, operations personnel, and fellow technicians to ensure aircraft readiness and on-time departures
Support AOG events and other operational maintenance requirements as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all safety and quality standards
Qualifications
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
Minimum of 1 year of commercial aircraft line maintenance experience required
Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance practices and FAA regulations
Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring schematics, engineering documents, and technical data
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Valid drivers license required
Ability to pass airport security background checks and obtain required airport credentials
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Must be willing to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, crawl, kneel, climb ladders, and work from maintenance stands
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to work around moving aircraft, ground support equipment, loud noise, and industrial work environments
Sufficient visual acuity to safely perform maintenance tasks and read technical documentation
Preferred Qualifications
Previous airline or commercial aircraft line maintenance experience
Experience supporting narrow-body or regional aircraft fleets
Strong troubleshooting experience in a fast-paced operational environment
Familiarity with FAA regulations, maintenance documentation, and airworthiness requirements
Experience supporting overnight maintenance operations and AOG recovery events
Additional aircraft-specific training, certifications, or manufacturer courses preferred
Military aviation maintenance experience transferable to commercial aircraft maintenance environments preferred
