Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Piston Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic to join our dynamic aviation maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, & overhaul of aircraft systems to ensure compliance with safety & quality standards. Maintaining and promoting the company's commitment to operational excellence & safety in the aviation industry. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, maintenance, & repairs on aircraft systems & components Troubleshoot, identify, & resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, adhering to regulatory & company standards Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes Ensure all tools & equipment are properly maintained & stored Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Commitment to safety and quality assurance in all maintenance activities
Required & Preferred Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent •
MUST HAVE
• Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license Basic understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures & regulations Strong attention to detail & ability to follow safety protocols At least 1 year experience with PISTON aircraft
Preferred:
Experience in an aircraft maintenance environment, including internships or apprenticeships Familiarity with aviation maintenance software & record-keeping systems Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Technical Skills & Relevant Technologies Knowledge of aircraft systems including engines, hydraulics, & avionics Basic understanding of electrical systems & troubleshooting techniques Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and hand tools Knowledge of FAA regulations and company safety standards Soft Skills & Cultural Fit Strong communication skills, both verbal & written Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining professionalism Equal Opportunity Statement Leading Edge Aviation is committed to fostering a diverse workforce & is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
