PrideStaff is working with a local manufacturing facility who is seeking an Aviation Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and scheduled maintenance of our fleet to ensure the highest levels of safety and FAA compliance. Whether it's a routine 100-hour inspection or a complex engine overhaul, your work ensures our aircraft remain airworthy and our passengers remain safe. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for aviation maintenance, mechanical systems, and technical troubleshooting to thrive in a fast-paced, safety-conscious setting.
Key Responsibilities Inspections:
Conduct thorough scheduled inspections (100-hour, annual, and progressive) to identify any defects or wear that could compromise flight safety.
System Maintenance:
Troubleshoot and repair airframe components, powerplants, and systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and fuel systems.
Documentation:
Maintain meticulous records of all maintenance performed in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies (Logbooks, 337 forms, etc.).
Component Replacement:
Remove and replace engines, landing gear, flight control surfaces, and interior components as required.
Testing:
Perform ground functional tests and engine runs to verify repair effectiveness before returning an aircraft to service.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all HAZMAT and OSHA safety guidelines, ensuring a clean and hazard-free hangar environment.
Required Qualifications Certification:
Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license is mandatory. (IA/Inspection Authorization is a major plus).
Experience:
5 years of experience in general aviation, commercial, or military aircraft maintenance.
Technical Proficiency:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals (AMMs).
Physical Ability:
Must be able to work in confined spaces (fuel tanks, tail cones), climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs .
Tools:
Must possess a basic set of aircraft-grade hand tools and calibrated measuring equipment.
