ENHANCED $26/yr Updated 05/2026 Job Description Overview $26/yr Job Summary The Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic is responsible for the day to day aircraft maintenance and are in good working order and operate safely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reads, understands and interprets applicable maintenance manuals, service bulletins and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing components. Replacing worn or damaged components. Performing visual inspections to detect mechanical issues. Assumes responsibility for ensuring Aircraft Maintenance is conducted in accordance with Federal regulations, Company policies and procedures. Performing regular maintenance services including but not limited to oil and filter changes, tire changes and/or rotations, etc. in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals. Diagnoses and troubleshooting of aircraft systems. Performs aircraft rigging requirements per applicable maintenance manuals when applicable. Familiar with aircraft Illustrated Parts Listings for identifying replacement materials and components. Other duties as assigned. Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent Valid A&P License with General Aviation (Cessna) experience preferred Required Skills/Abilities Candidates must have mechanical aptitude to perform maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of mechanical components and have their own basic hand tools (screwdrivers, standard wrenches and drive sockets). Knowledge of aircraft maintenance manuals, ATA codes, applicable F.A.R.S. and paperwork/sign-off procedures. Well organized and attentive to detail. Ability to closely follow written and verbal instructions. Willingness to assist others. Must be able to understand, read, write and speak Standard English, including technical aircraft maintenance vocabulary for technical and general work correspondence. Must be able to adhere to all established safety policies and procedures.
