Job Description

Overview Join our family owned and operated 135 Charter maintenance team as a Learjet A&P Mechanic, where your expertise will keep high-performance aircraft operating safely and efficiently. In this role, you will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Your skills will directly contribute to delivering exceptional service and safety in a fast-paced, aviation-focused environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated aircraft with a team dedicated to excellence and precision. Performance based pay increases evaluated every 6 months. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on Learjet aircraft, including airframe, powerplant, and avionics systems. Utilize technical schematics, CAD drawings, and engineering troubleshooting guides to diagnose issues accurately. Perform detailed root cause analysis to identify underlying problems affecting aircraft performance or safety. Use specialized industrial tools such as torque wrenches, power tools, calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment, and coordinate measuring machines for precise repairs. Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate assembly, fabrication, or modification of aircraft components. Maintain compliance with FAA regulations (Federal Aviation Regulations) and industry standards such as AS9100 quality management system requirements. Document all maintenance activities thoroughly in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System - Traxall) and ensure accurate recordkeeping for audits and inspections. Requirements Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with proven experience working on Learjet or similar business jets. Extensive mechanical knowledge of aircraft systems including electrical, avionics, and power distribution. Hands-on experience with interpreting technical drawings, schematics and maintenance manuals. Strong understanding of aviation maintenance procedures aligned with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) Part 91 and 135 Standards. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, ammeters, and specialized industrial tools for accurate repairs. Experience in flight line maintenance or aviation maintenance facilities performing aircraft troubleshooting and equipment repair. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling aircraft components or equipment using specialized industrial tools. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis for complex mechanical or electrical issues.
