Job Description

Position Summary We are looking for a motivated and skilled Alarm Technician to join our team. In this role, you will take the lead on installing, servicing, and troubleshooting fire alarm and security systems. You'll play a key part in protecting our clients' properties by ensuring their systems operate safely, reliably, and up to code. This position combines technical expertise, problem-solving, and customer service, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on work and working directly with clients. What You'll Do Install, program, and repair fire alarm and security systems in residential and commercial settings. Review blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to guide system layouts and installations. Conduct inspections on new and existing systems to confirm compliance with codes, safety regulations, and design specifications. Use CAD tools when needed to assist with system planning and layout. Troubleshoot system malfunctions on-site and implement effective solutions. Safely and efficiently operate a variety of hand and power tools during installations and repairs. Work directly with customers to assess their needs and recommend system upgrades or new installations. Stay current with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and industry standards. Test, calibrate, and service sensors, panels, and other system components to maximize performance. What We're Looking For Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, or repairing alarm systems 5 Years Experience or more preferred Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with prior experience in construction or a related trade. Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems is a plus. Comfort with customer-facing responsibilities, including recommending products or services. Ability to work independently in the field while also collaborating effectively with a team. Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
