Job Description

Cox Automotive is seeking a Parts Installer II to support telecommunications and media systems across our automotive platforms. In this role, you will install, replace, and configure parts, wiring, and equipment for digital signage, networking, and communication systems used by dealers and partners. You'll read work orders and diagrams, prepare tools and materials, and complete on-site or shop-based installations. You will test and calibrate components, troubleshoot basic hardware or connectivity issues, and document work in company systems. Working closely with technicians and engineers, you'll follow strict safety and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement and innovation. Responsibilities Install and replace telecommunications and media components in automotive systems and facilities Interpret work orders, diagrams, and technical specs to prepare parts and tools Test, calibrate, and verify proper operation of installed equipment Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, wiring, and connectivity issues Document work performed, parts used, and system configurations in company systems Follow safety, quality, and ESD handling standards on all jobs Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and project leads to meet install timelines Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and equipment and report shortages Required Skills Telecommunications hardware installation Low-voltage wiring and cable management Reading technical diagrams and schematics Use of hand and power tools Equipment testing and calibration Basic network and connectivity troubleshooting Digital signage or AV system setup Work order and documentation systems Safety and ESD handling procedures Inventory and parts management
