Duties Install and repair of fire alarm systems, sensors, and associated low voltage wiring according to blueprints and schematics Conduct routine maintenance and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with NFPA standards and local fire codes Read electrical blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately plan system design and installation procedures Perform system troubleshooting using electrical experience, electrical troubleshooting techniques, voltmeters, power tools. Inspect construction sites for building code compliance related to fire alarm installation and coordinate with construction teams for seamless integration with sprinkler systems and other building infrastructure Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions, addressing client concerns, and ensuring satisfaction during installation or service visits Document all work performed through detailed reports, logs, and inspection records to maintain accurate service histories Requirements Proven experience in fire alarm system installation, maintenance, or service technician roles with knowledge of proprietary fire alarm control panels Strong understanding of fire alarm systems components such as sensors, schematics, wiring diagrams, and schematics Ability to read blueprints, electrical blueprints, CAD drawings, and schematics accurately Building code compliance. Familiarity with NFPA standards (National Fire Protection Association), NEC (National Electrical Code), fire codes and regulations governing fire alarm systems Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and other field service equipment Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to client communication and problem-solving Valid electrical experience with an understanding of electrical work principles related to fire alarm systems. Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
