Rutledge Security and Fire is seeking a Licensed LEA Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining low-voltage security and life-safety systems. This position will work on a variety of commercial and residential projects involving fire alarm, security/intrusion, access control, CCTV/video surveillance, and related low-voltage systems . The technician will be responsible for completing installations and service calls safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes, manufacturer requirements, and company standards. We are looking for someone who is okay with a lot of travel, is dependable, detail-oriented, professional with customers, and capable of working independently with little to no direction while also being a team player. This is a great opportunity for a technician looking to grow with a locally owned and expanding company. Responsibilities Install, program, test, troubleshoot, service, and maintain low-voltage systems. Install and service fire alarm, security/intrusion, access control, and CCTV systems . Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, wiring diagrams, and project specifications. Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling. Troubleshoot wiring, devices, panels, power supplies, communication equipment, and system faults. Perform system testing, inspections, commissioning, and customer demonstrations as required. Complete service calls and diagnose system issues in a timely and professional manner. Ensure installations are completed in accordance with applicable codes, manufacturer specifications, and project requirements. Maintain accurate service records, job documentation, and as-built information. Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, project managers, and other trades. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Properly use and maintain company-provided tools, equipment, and vehicles. Follow all company safety policies and job-site requirements. Travel to customer locations and project sites as needed. Represent Rutledge Security and Fire professionally while working in the field. Assist with other low-voltage installation and service duties as needed. What We Offer We are a growing company, and our benefits are growing with us.
