Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Alarm Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of security and alarm systems. Your expertise will ensure our clients' safety and security by delivering top-tier service and technical solutions. Responsibilities Install, configure, and test alarm systems, CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarms, and access control devices across various sites. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of security systems, including low voltage wiring, cabling, and system components. Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately install and repair complex security infrastructure. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical experience to complete installations efficiently and safely. Diagnose system issues related to computer networking, remote access software, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and telecommunication equipment. Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs; provide system design recommendations and alarm system sales support when appropriate. Maintain detailed service records, installation logs, and incident reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician in security systems or related fields such as construction or electrical work. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience for handling low voltage wiring and power tools. Familiarity with computer hardware, networking concepts, remote access software, and schematics for system setup and troubleshooting. Knowledge of surveillance technologies including CCTV cameras, sensors, alarms, fire alarm systems, and security system integration. Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately; experience with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently in complex systems involving cabling and telecommunication components. Effective communication skills for working directly with clients and team members in field service environments. Pay:
$23.00 - $36.00 per hour
