Job Description

We are looking for an Access Control Technician to join a detail-oriented services team supporting commercial projects in South Carolina. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on field work involving low-voltage infrastructure and electronic security systems. The role focuses on delivering reliable installations, resolving technical issues efficiently, and maintaining clear communication with project stakeholders throughout each assignment.
Responsibilities:
  • Install and route low-voltage cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber, while ensuring each run is properly labeled, terminated, and verified for performance.
  • Assist with the setup, servicing, and repair of access control components such as door hardware, credential readers, surveillance devices, alarm equipment, and related security technologies.
  • Interpret construction drawings and site documentation to complete installations accurately and in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.
  • Diagnose cabling faults, device failures, and connectivity problems, then perform corrective work to restore system functionality.
  • Use testing tools and standard installation methods to confirm quality, signal integrity, and overall system readiness.
  • Maintain organized records of completed work, testing results, and service activity, and provide timely updates to supervisors and customers.
  • Support commercial job-site activities by preparing materials, handling tools and equipment safely, and helping keep installations neat and well organized.
