We're hiring a Traveling Access Control Technician (low voltage) based out of Caddo Mills, TX, and we're looking for someone who's ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and provide installation, maintenance, and repair services for electronic access control systems. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain badge readers, keypad entry systems, turnstiles, electronic door hardware, gate access systems, and related low-voltage equipment at customer job sites across the country, helping us build the future of construction.
Scle:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after working 40 hours. (This role is subject to on-call scling with additionalpensation provided.)
Travel:
70-85%
Primary Responsibilities
As a Traveling Low Voltage Access Control Technician, you'll use our technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track equipment maintenance, order replacement parts, and diagnose system issues. With real-time information at your fingertips, you can work smarter, not harder.
Practice safe work habits while installing, servicing, and repairing access control systems.
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain key card readers, badge scanners, keypad entry systems, turnstiles, electronic door locks, gate operators, and other access control equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance and scled inspections to ensure access control systems remain fully operational.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, wiring,working, and hardware issues using appropriate testing equipment and manufacturer documentation.
Run, terminate, label, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling associated with access control installations.
Install and replace controllers, readers, power supplies, locks, request-to-exit devices, sensors, andmunication hardware.
Configure and test field devices to ensure propermunication with access control software.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Use laptops, tablets, and mobile devices to configure equipment,plete work orders, and documentpleted work.
Maintain accurate electronic documentation of work performed in aplete and timely manner.
Maintain knowledge of OSHA requirements and jobsite safety practices.
Participate in year-roundpany-provided OEM and manufacturer training.

About You

Required Skills & Abilities
Mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing low-voltage electronic systems.
Working knowledge of access control hardware including badge readers, keypad entry systems, electronic locks, turnstiles, gate operators, and related devices.
Experience running, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting low-voltage wiring.
Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, installation drawings, and technical documentation.
Experience with industry-leading access control platforms such as Lenel, Brivo, Avigilon Alta (Openpath), HID, Gallagher, AMAG, Gec, Honeywell Pro-Watch, RS2, or similar systems is highly preferred.
Familiarity with IPworking, TCP/IPmunications, PoE devices, and basicwork troubleshooting is a plus.
Comfortable using laptops, tablets, and mobile applications to configure equipment and manage work orders.
Strong troubleshooting,munication, and customer service skills.
Construction experience or background preferred.
Education & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Active applicable state driver's license required.
Experience installing or servicing access control, electronic security, low-voltage, or related systems preferred.
Construction experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to move, stand, stoop, kneel, and bend freely.
Must be able to climb ladders and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must befortable working on active construction sites.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
This is a safety-sensitive position, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon passing a 10-panel drug screen.
