In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing access control systems and associated security equipment. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of physical security systems, including alarm and surveillance solutions, to safeguard facilities and assets. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and excellent customer service skills to deliver reliable service and technical support. Responsibilities Install, configure, and test access control systems, including door security system integration and remote access software. Troubleshoot and repair electrical security systems such as alarms, CCTV cameras, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and low-voltage electrical wiring. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical blueprints to accurately install or diagnose system issues. Conduct field service visits for maintenance, upgrades, or emergency repairs on security equipment at client sites. Perform low-voltage electrical wiring and cabling for security system components following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Assist with system design and layout planning for new installations or upgrades based on client requirements. Provide technical troubleshooting support for physical security systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Maintain detailed documentation of installations, repairs, schematics, and service reports for record keeping and future reference. Collaborate with clients to deliver exceptional customer service by explaining system functions and providing training when necessary. Skills Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using power tools and hand tools for equipment installation and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of computer hardware components related to security systems and network configurations. Experience with CCTV surveillance systems, sensors, fire alarm systems, alarm & access control systems, and intercoms. Proficiency in computer networking concepts relevant to security system connectivity and remote access software. Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics accurately. Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems including wiring techniques aligned with NEC standards. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and schematics for system installation or troubleshooting purposes. Familiarity with electrical blueprint reading for effective system setup or modifications. Service technician experience in installing or maintaining electrical security systems in commercial or industrial environments. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose equipment issues efficiently using technical troubleshooting methods. Customer service orientation with clear communication skills to support client needs effectively.
