Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Auto Body Technician / Painter to join our dynamic team. Duties Perform automotive structural repairs, including dent removal, sheet metal work, and welding repair using MIG welding and other fabrication techniques. Utilize automotive welding equipment, soldering tools, and power tools to restore vehicle frames and panels with precision. Conduct auto body repairs such as panel replacement, sanding, sanding tools application, and automotive cosmetic repair to achieve a smooth finish. Apply auto painting techniques using airless paint spraying equipment to deliver flawless finishes on repaired surfaces. Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with attention to detail and quality standards. Prepare vehicles for refinishing by sanding, masking, and applying primer; then perform automotive body refinishing to restore the vehicle's appearance. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by assisting with vehicle maintenance tasks and performing basic auto restoration projects as needed. Use hand tools, heavy lifting techniques, and fabrication repair methods to ensure durable repairs that meet industry standards. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair journey. Qualifications Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or painter within a dealership or collision center environment. Strong knowledge of auto body repair techniques including sheet metal work, welding repair (MIG welding), sanding tools, and automotive cosmetic repair. Hands-on experience with auto painting processes such as auto body refinishing and auto glass installation. Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, automotive welding equipment, and fabrication techniques required for structural repairs. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of vehicle maintenance, automotive parts installation, and general auto restoration skills. Dealership experience is highly preferred but not mandatory; a demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting is essential. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills; ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary. Good communication skills for working collaboratively with team members and providing outstanding customer service.
