For decades, we've restored vehicles to pre-accident condition while treating every customer — and every teammate — with honesty and respect. We've grown across multiple locations, but we've kept the culture of a family business: people who show up for each other, take pride in doing the job right, and genuinely enjoy the work. If you're looking for a shop where quality and teamwork actually mean something, you'll fit right in here.
Job Summary:
As an Auto Body Helper, you'll work alongside experienced Auto Body Technicians to repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, gaining hands-on training in every stage of the collision repair process. This is an entry-level role for someone who wants to build a real trade skill from the ground up — you'll learn by doing, in a fast-paced shop environment, while helping keep jobs moving efficiently from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in moving vehicles within the facility as needed. Assist technicians with disassembly and reassembly of vehicles. Prepare vehicles for repair by masking, sanding, and priming as needed. Assist with minor dent removal, panel alignment, and other basic repair tasks under supervision. Assist in applying primers, sealers, and corrosion protection. Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet Kniesel's Collision standards. Transport and organize parts, tools, and materials to keep the workspace clean and efficient. Help maintain shop cleanliness, including sweeping, taking out the trash, and organizing tools. Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with company policies. Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and leadership. Ability to read and understand repair orders, work orders, SOPs, and manufacturer procedures. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and move throughout the workday.
