Duties Perform automotive structural repairs using MIG welding, soldering, and other welding repair techniques to restore vehicle frames and panels. Conduct sheet metal fabrication and auto restoration work to repair or replace damaged body parts. Utilize hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to shape, align, and finish vehicle bodies. Execute auto body repairs including dent removal, auto painting, auto refinishing, and cosmetic repairs to achieve a flawless appearance. Install automotive parts accurately and efficiently while adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Apply automotive sheet metal techniques for precise fabrication repair work; perform sanding, detailing, and finishing to ensure a high-quality surface. Collaborate with team members on vehicle assembly and auto parts installation; assist with auto estimating and customer service as needed. Engage in heavy lifting and use airless paint spraying equipment to complete paint jobs with smooth finishes. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background working as an automotive body technician. Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and automotive cosmetic repair processes. Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair techniques, and working with automotive welding equipment. Familiarity with auto restoration projects, sheet metal fabrication, sanding tools, power tools, and auto painting methods. Hands-on experience with automotive parts installation, auto estimating procedures, and customer service interactions. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and automotive dent repair is highly desirable.
