About Us:
Graham Collision is a fast-growing, customer-focused collision repair center committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and service for over 50 years. We are seeking a skilled, organized, and hands-on Auto Body Painter to lead our paint department and ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and team performance.
Position Overview:
The Auto Body Painter oversees the daily operations of the paint department, maintaining outstanding finish quality, efficient workflow, and proper use of materials. This role includes team training, quality control, inventory oversight, and occasional hands-on painting or prepping as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Materials Inventory Management:
Keep all paint-related materials, products, and supplies fully stocked and accurately inventoried.
Staff Training & Development:
Train team members on new products, techniques, and application methods. Help mentor and guide preppers and painters in industry best practices.
Quality Control:
Continuously monitor paint shop quality to ensure consistent, top-tier results that meet company and OEM standards.
Profitability Oversight:
Track and monitor materials usage and costs across all store locations to help maintain strong profit margins.
Hands-On Support:
Step in to spray or prep vehicles when needed, including covering vacations, absences, or peak workload times.
Qualifications:
5-10 years of experience as a painter, prepper, or paint department lead within a collision center or body shop Strong knowledge of modern paint systems, materials, and refinishing processes Ability to train, coach, and mentor team members Excellent organizational and communication skills Commitment to safety and quality at all times Leadership experience preferred
