Duties Perform automotive structural repairs using MIG welding and welding repair techniques to restore vehicle frames and bodies. Utilize sheet metal fabrication skills to replace or repair damaged panels, ensuring precise fit and finish. Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, auto restoration, and cosmetic refinishing using sanding tools, auto painting, and automotive body refinishing techniques. Install automotive parts such as doors, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with attention to detail. Use power tools and hand tools effectively for assembly, sanding, and finishing tasks to achieve a flawless appearance. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks including auto parts installation and basic mechanical repairs when needed. Operate automotive welding equipment and paint spraying systems for high-quality refinishing work. Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and the use of power tools to ensure a safe work environment. Qualifications Proven experience or extensive background as an automotive body technician. Proficiency in MIG welding, welding repair, and fabrication repair techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive structural repair and vehicle maintenance. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive painting equipment. Experience with auto restoration projects and automotive cosmetic repair processes. Knowledge of sheet metal work, body shaping, and automotive parts assembly. Ability to perform auto estimating accurately and communicate effectively with customers. Physical ability for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during repairs.
