Body Shop Technician | Delta Toyota

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Inspection & Disassembly:
Perform complete tear-downs of damaged vehicles, match parts against repair estimates, and identify hidden or additional structural/mechanical issues.
Structural & Body Repair:
Straighten bent frames, align unibody components using frame-measuring systems, and hammer out or fill dents.
Parts Replacement & Welding:
Remove damaged panels, glass, or parts and weld, bolt, or bond new OEM replacement parts into position.
Workflow & Quality Control:
Coordinate with estimators, painters, and parts staff to maintain efficient repair cycle times and inspect finished work.
Safety & Compliance:
Maintain a clean, organized work bay and follow all OSHA, EPA, and dealership safety rules when handling tools and hazardous materials.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
2-5+ years of verifiable hands-on auto body repair experience in a professional collision facility.
Certifications:
I-CAR or ASE certifications preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficient with frame-measuring equipment, welding tools, and reading technical repair manuals.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
