401(k) Competitive salary Health insurance Paid time off Auto Body Technician - Collision Repair Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Automotive Body Technician to join our collision repair team. The ideal candidate takes pride in their workmanship and has strong experience repairing collision-damaged vehicles. The Body Technician will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition by performing quality body repairs, panel replacement, dent repair, welding, and vehicle disassembly and reassembly. The right person should be dependable, detail-oriented, efficient, and able to work independently while maintaining high-quality repair standards. Key Responsibilities Perform collision damage repairs according to manufacturer and industry repair procedures Remove, repair, and replace damaged body panels and components Perform metal straightening, dent repair, and body filler work Perform MIG welding and other approved repair procedures when required Repair and replace doors, fenders, quarter panels, bumpers, hoods, deck lids, and other body components Properly align panels, doors, hoods, trunks, and other vehicle components Disassemble vehicles prior to repair and reassemble them after repairs are completed Perform structural and non-structural body repairs as qualified Prepare repaired surfaces for the refinish department Identify additional damage and communicate repair needs to the estimator or manager Follow OEM repair procedures and proper safety practices Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Properly care for shop equipment, tools, and customer vehicles Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality Work cooperatively with estimators, painters, parts personnel, and other technicians Qualifications Previous experience as an automotive body technician preferred Strong knowledge of collision repair procedures Ability to repair and replace body panels with proper fit and alignment Experience with metal repair, dent repair, sanding, and body filler Welding experience preferred Ability to read and follow repair procedures and estimates Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Valid driver's license I-CAR or other industry certifications are a plus What We're Looking For We want someone who takes pride in their work and cares about doing the job right . Quality is more important than simply pushing cars through the shop. The ideal technician is reliable, takes ownership of their repairs, pays attention to the small details, and is willing to help the team when needed.
Experience level:
Experienced Body Technician preferred, but we are willing to consider the right candidate with strong skills and a good work ethic.
Pay:
Competitive pay based on experience and skill level.
