Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural straightening using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering. Conduct automotive cosmetic repairs like sanding, auto painting, auto refinishing, and detailing to achieve a high-quality finish. Utilize hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to execute fabrication and repair tasks accurately. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision. Apply sheet metal fabrication skills for custom repairs or restorations involving metal shaping and assembly. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting, welding, sanding, and painting activities. Collaborate with team members on auto restoration projects and vehicle maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion of jobs. Skills Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a dealership environment with knowledge of auto body repair processes. Strong MIG welding skills along with experience in fabrication repair techniques including soldering and sheet metal work. Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems to assist with vehicle maintenance and structural repairs. Familiarity with automotive cosmetic repair methods such as auto painting, sanding, airless paint spraying, and auto refinishing. Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, sanding tools, and automotive parts installation tools. Knowledge of auto glass replacement and automotive dent repair techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during assembly or repair tasks. Excellent customer service skills coupled with basic auto estimating abilities for accurate assessments of repair needs.
