In this energetic role, you'll utilize your expertise in automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and cosmetic refinishing to deliver exceptional results. Your skills in welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance will ensure each vehicle is repaired efficiently and to the highest standards. Duties Perform automotive structural repairs using MIG welding, soldering, and welding repair techniques to restore vehicle frames and bodies. Utilize hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to repair dents, sheet metal damage, and other body imperfections. Conduct auto restoration projects including auto painting, auto body refinishing, and automotive cosmetic repairs to achieve a flawless finish. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, panels, and other components with precision and care. Apply fabrication techniques for custom repairs or modifications using sheet metal and fabrication skills. Use auto estimating software to assess damages accurately and determine repair scopes while maintaining excellent customer service throughout the process. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks including auto parts installation and general mechanical repairs as needed. Ensure safety protocols are followed during heavy lifting, use of airless paint spraying equipment, and operation of all automotive repair tools. Qualifications Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a dealership environment with a strong background in auto body repair. Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and fabrication repair techniques. Knowledge of automotive structural repair, sheet metal work, auto restoration, and automotive cosmetic repair processes. Familiarity with auto painting methods including airless paint spraying and automotive body refinishing. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment safely and effectively. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and automotive parts installation. Experience working with auto estimating software is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and timelines. Physical ability for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods; comfort working with automotive parts in various environments.
