Duties Perform comprehensive repairs on vehicle engines, powertrains, electrical systems, and body components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive diagnostic equipment Conduct detailed diagnostics utilizing automotive diagnostics software and schematics to identify issues accurately Repair or replace engine components. Execute collision repairs and paint jobs with precision, restoring vehicles. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics for complex electrical repairs and system troubleshooting. Handle heavy lifting safely during repairs or parts replacement while following manual handling protocols Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status and recommendations Skills Proven experience with a strong understanding of automotive systems and repairs. Proficiency in interpreting automotive schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools such as scan tools and electronic testing devices Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical wiring Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining manual handling best practices Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
