Duties Assess vehicle damage thoroughly to determine necessary repairs using automotive structural repair techniques. Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and automotive cosmetic repairs utilizing hand tools, power tools, and specialized welding equipment. Conduct welding repair tasks such as MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding to restore vehicle frames and panels accurately. Utilize fabrication repair techniques to create custom parts or modify existing components for optimal fit and finish. Prepare surfaces through sanding, auto painting, airless paint spraying, and automotive body refinishing to achieve a high-quality finish. Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision. Maintain detailed documentation of repair processes, estimates, and customer communications while adhering to safety standards at all times. Requirements Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or collision repair specialist in a dealership or similar environment. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques essential for structural repairs. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, auto restoration processes, and automotive parts installation. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment safely and effectively. Ability to lift heavy objects safely during vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks.
