Duties Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment using hand tools, power tools, and automotive welding equipment Conduct welding repairs such as MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding to restore vehicle frames and panels with precision Fabricate custom parts or repair sections using sheet metal fabrication techniques and automotive fabrication repair methods Apply automotive cosmetic repairs including sanding, auto painting with airless paint spraying equipment, and automotive refinishing to achieve a flawless finish Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with attention to detail and quality standards Utilize auto estimating skills to assess damage severity and determine necessary repairs; communicate effectively with customers regarding repair processes Perform vehicle maintenance tasks related to mechanical knowledge, auto restoration projects, and general automotive repair to ensure safety and optimal performance Use detailing tools and techniques to enhance vehicle appearance post-repair, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets customer expectations Qualifications Proven dealership or automotive body shop experience demonstrating proficiency in auto body repair and structural restoration Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair techniques, and working with automotive welding equipment Strong fabrication skills including sheet metal work and fabrication repair techniques Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto restoration, and general automotive repair processes Experience with hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, airless paint sprayers, and other auto body refinishing equipment Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs Excellent customer service skills paired with auto estimating experience for transparent communication with clients Knowledge of auto parts installation procedures including auto glass replacement and cosmetic enhancements Working familiarity with automotive structural repair standards and safety protocols
