APPLIANCE INSTALLER
Professional Appliance Delivery & Installation Services Company Kincy's Home Repair & Maintenance Services LLC Service Area Durham, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Cary, Wake Forest, Clayton, and surrounding areas Position Summary Kincy's Home Repair & Maintenance Services LLC is seeking experienced, dependable appliance installers to complete residential and light-commercial appliance installations on an independent-contractor basis. The ideal installer has proven appliance-installation experience, excellent customer-service skills, the ability to operate a box truck safely, and the tools, transportation, insurance, and professional judgment needed to complete assigned projects correctly and efficiently. Primary Responsibilities
Pick up, transport, deliver, and install household and light-commercial appliances.
Install refrigerators, ranges, ovens, cooktops, dishwashers, microwaves, washers, dryers, and similar appliances.
Safely load, secure, transport, unload, and move appliances.
Connect manufacturer-approved water, drain, electrical, vent, and gas components when properly licensed, qualified, and legally permitted.
Disconnect and remove existing appliances when included in the work order.
Inspect the installation area and appliance before beginning work.
Verify measurements, clearances, connections, and installation requirements.
Protect customers' flooring, walls, cabinets, countertops, and other property.
Test installed appliances for proper operation and check connections for leaks or safety concerns.
Explain basic appliance operation and care to customers when necessary.
Take clear before-and-after photographs and submit required job documentation.
Immediately report damage, missing parts, unsafe conditions, installation barriers, or work outside the approved scope.
Keep customers informed and provide professional, courteous service.
Follow manufacturer instructions, applicable codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
Maintain a clean work area and remove installation-related debris when required.
Obtain customer acknowledgment or completion documentation before leaving the property.
Never perform unapproved work or collect unauthorized payments from customers. Minimum Qualifications
At least three years of professional appliance installation, delivery, maintenance, or related experience preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of common residential appliances and installation procedures.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Experience safely driving and maneuvering a box truck.
Ability to pass a background check, drug test and motor-vehicle-record review.
Reliable transportation to the work site to pick up the box truck.
Ability to read work orders, product specifications, and manufacturer installation instructions.
Ability to use mobile applications for scheduling, communication, photographs, and job documentation.
Strong communication, time-management, troubleshooting, and customer-service skills.
Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently.
Must provide a completed Form W-9 and other required onboarding documents.
Must be legally authorized to work in the applicable service area. Licensing and Insurance Requirements
Maintain any occupational, trade, or specialty license legally required for the work accepted.
Maintain commercial general liability or contractor liability insurance; applicants with their own active policy are strongly preferred.
Maintain commercial automobile insurance when using a personal or company-owned vehicle for business purposes.
Maintain workers' compensation coverage when required by law or when the contractor employs helpers.
Provide current certificates of insurance and license documentation before accepting assignments.
Immediately notify Kincy's Home Repair of any cancellation, expiration, suspension, or material change in required coverage or licensing. Installers may not perform regulated plumbing, electrical, gas, HVAC, or other licensed work unless they hold the legally required credentials and have specific authorization to perform that work. Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver heavy appliances safely, with assistance or proper equipment when required.
Ability to repeatedly bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, reach, and work in confined areas.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions.
Ability to safely operate moving equipment and secure appliances for transportation.
Ability to comply with all applicable safety requirements.
Professional Standards Successful installers must:
Arrive within the assigned service window and communicate anticipated delays.
Wear clean, professional work attire.
Treat customers, occupants, and property respectfully.
Maintain confidentiality regarding customer and company information.
Avoid smoking, vaping, alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons, and inappropriate behavior at customer properties.
Refrain from soliciting Kincy's customers for unauthorized side work.
Correct installation deficiencies resulting from their workmanship in accordance with the contractor agreement.
Promptly report accidents, injuries, customer complaints, and property damage.

Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
